I know I know its been far to long since i've written. currently i am in Alameda CA staying at the Days Inn. We have our ships pulled out of the water for our annual drydock. Major Major repairs are being made, including but not limited to new engines, galley, steel plates on the hull, carpet paint, and many many hours of grinding rust which is partly being done by yours truly. That explains why i look the way i do in that last picture. We will be here till dec 3rd or 4th. Then we will sail on down to San Diego and pick up some lucky passengers who we will take to explore the Baha pennisula. I will be onboard all through the holidays until jan 21. feel free to send mail, i will post the address when i find it. i hope you enjoyed the alaskan pictures, the scenery should be changing a little in baha. I hope everyone is doing well, love your old pal jason

Hey everybody, its been far to long and my good buddy saam reminded me that i need to update everyone on my life. Things have been going well onboard the MV Sealion, we have long since left alaskan waters and currently are off shore of Washington state. Tonight we will be crossing the infamous colombia river bar, it has a storied history for being the most dangerous bar in America. Dont worry we will be fine, i will go up and drive if need be.
I have learned many things since i last wrote, becoming a sailor and such. I have even got to drive a few times. I will be home very shortly, i dont try and count but i think its 20 days.. All of you at UMD i will be visiting for homecoming festivities, and those of you lucky enough to be directly related hopefully we will be seeing each other. Oh yea and jess i think i may stop by your house one day while i am home.

Well, i am gonna start writing on here more often so check back for more exciting details, pictures havent been uploaded because of the slow internet connection that isnt cheap. By the way if you would like to know what ive been doing its mostly piratish things pillaging and plundering poor innocent cruisers, shhh dont tell my mom. We scored a good load of pearls and gold last week, tomorrow i think we are intercepting a ship load of rum. Miss you guys,
spires

Hey everybody, thanks for writing and sending your love. Its been a while since ive written, the internet up here isnt exactly perfect. Life is busy onboard the Sea Lion. We work 11 hours on then 11hours off, so sometimes i am working from like 9pm to 8am. Its a tough adjusment from the 9-5. I am learning all sorts of things onboard. Good preperation for my own boat that you will all go out on someday. Officially i am a "deckhand" during the day we are involved in boat ops, we launch zodaics, kayaks, if we are going into town we secure the lines on the docks, take on water/fuel/food. In addition to that we are responsible for the upkeep of the outside of the ship. We do alot of painting and scrubbing. The people i work with are pretty awesome, and in my off time i get to go on the actities planned for that day. As you can see i have had the opportunity to kyak, hike, go on zodiacs, and if i could get some more pics to load you would see how awesome it is. We are have some techinical difficulties. But i will fix. Hope all is WELL. I miss you guys.
